Formatting your paper for INTEGERS: AMS-TeX

Important:  Please include any and all line skips
that are given below.

I. Please use the following declarations in your AMS- TeX file.

Your paper starts here with your first section. See IV below for more information on how to number sections.

IV. In the body of the paper, please label and number your (sub)sections as follows. Please note that we use the command "\subhead" for both sections and subsections.

"\subhead \nofrills{\bf N. Section Name}", where N=1,2,... corresponds to the section number.


"\subhead \nofrills{\bf N.x Subsection Name}", where N=1,2,3,... and x=1,2,3,... correspond to the subsection number.

After the end of each section and before the beginning of the next section please put the line:

V. The references and acknowledgments sections of the paper should not be numbered sections. Hence, you should use "\subhead \nofrills{\bf References}" and/or "\subhead \nofrills{\bf Acknowledgments}." Please label your references numerically. Furthermore, please use the AMS abbreviations for journals (see this link).
